Our Top Pick tonight is the series premiere of Earth Abides (MGM+, 9 p.m.). The basic premise seems like The Walking Dead without the dead. A guy (Alexander Ludwig) walks up and finds society has collapsed after a disease wiped out most of the population. But this is a 6-episode limited series. Soon he will feel the urge to begin rebuilding. It is based on George R. Stewart's lauded 1949 novel of the same title.
Elsewhere, Notre Dame gets Minutes treatment, Disney gets Spectacular, Lioness goes to Iraq, Ruby has gotta save the Well, a prison needs to be Equalized, Dune took a vow, and Tracker tracks the dead.

All he has is a grainy photo and possible name (mom was never clear on his name).
