With the expectation of Thanksgiving dinner and all the sides that come with it, a lot of people think it may be best to hold out the rest of the day. But that isn't necessarily best for your belly, or your brain. Hunger can lead to irritability, which may already be an issue at your family table.
You're also more likely to overeat, and eat too quickly, if you're super hungry. This in turn leads to feeling not so great once you're done.
Instead, dietitians recommend oatmeal or smoothies, something packed with fiber and protein for breakfast. Maybe some veggies or soup for a light lunch.
