Endurance

Today's Top Pick is the new National Geographic special, Endurance.  The documentary follows a crew of researchers as they try to piece together the last days of the ill-fated ship while trying to locate the ship itself (spoiler alert: they find it).  It uses high quality reenactments to tell the story of Ernest Shackleton, his crew and how they managed to survive the sinking of their ship in Antarctica.  It's on NatGeo today, so it will be on Disney+ tomorrow.  That's where I'll be watching it.

*Paramount has the premiere of Viggo Mortenson's latest directorial effort; The Dead Don't Hurt.  Reviews were very good for this film, with good notices in particular for Mortenson's directing and lead actress Vicky Kriepps.  

*Disney+ has the new documentary Music by John Williams, which makes sense as Disney owns both Star Wars and Indiana Jones.  Reviews are good, but if you're looking for something that really gets into the weeds, you might be disappointed.  This is more of a tribute than a documentary.

*There's a God's Not Dead sequel premiering on the Great American Family network.  Before you ask why it's premiering on a cable network you've never heard of, it stars Dean Cain.  That should answer that question and pretty much any others you might have.
