What's On Tonight (Wednesday): Back when the West was very young

Wild West Chronicles

Sunny, one so true, I love you! Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, September 4!

Our Top Pick tonight is the fourth season premiere of Wild West Chronicles (INSP). This historical docudrama follows the later life of Bat Masterson as a reporter. In this fictional account, Masterson (Jack Elliott) travels across West and encounters notable people and their real events in his travels, some well-known like the Dalton Gang, Bass Reeves, and Annie Oakley and many others that haven't been kept in as many history books. Note: this is a low-budget show. And this is a Top Pick first for INSP! (The network started in 1978 as Jim and Tammy Faye's PTL Television Network.)

Elsewhere, Sunny fights for the truth, the's mutineers on The Ark, the Horses are still Slow, the Bad Monkey hides, school has more Lies, NBC loves sportsballs, and HGTV finds the Unsellable.

(All times are Eastern. All listings are new unless otherwise stated. For more listings, visit The Futon Critic or Zap2it.)
