What is it with bronze medals this year? Olympics legend Nadia Comenici has made a compelling and insistent argument that Jordan Chiles and both of the Romanian gymnasts deserve their own bronze medals. The only one who might know gymnastics better than Comenici is Simone Biles. I'm certainly not going to argue with her.
But we're onto the Paralympics now and an Italian rower who placed third was disqualified because the judges noticed that he forgot to take his cellphone out of his boat. There is no indication that he used the phone. Yes, communication devices are prohibited and rules are rules but where's the harm in an unused cellphone? If anything it would be an unwanted distraction. An appeal has been filed. He even showed the judges his call record and the last call was the night before with his psychologist. My first cat was fascinated with the bathtub. Why would I ever intentionally sit in water? It was absurd and wrong. It was a vintage apartment building so there was no shower and the bathroom door casement was off just enough that my curious kitten could follow me in. He would pace around the tub, batting at the water and staring at me. I bathed fast and furious because inevitably he would slide into the tub, angry, claws out. I kept him trimmed no matter how much he hated it and he was just a kitten but claws are claws and naked is naked.
