DD2 - $1,200 - GREAT LANDFORM - Some of these landforms at a national park named for them are called "windows" for the way they frame scenic views (David moved to a closer third by doubling to $4,000.)
DD3 - $800 - PSYCHOLOGY - David Levy popularized this 2-word term that came in handy for analyzing the Roy family's dynamic on TV (Maddie dropped $2,500 from her total of $10,000 vs. $11,600 for Alex.)
Champ David never entered serious contention at any point, and a miss by Maddie on DD3 was the difference in Alex leading into FJ at $16,000 vs. $13,900 for Maddie and $4,400 for David.
Final Jeopardy!
STARS OF THE 20TH CENTURY - A 1927 N.Y. Times headline: “Witness testifies” this woman “rewrote play and insisted on the spicy scenes because city liked them”
Everyone was incorrect on FJ, as they all guessed writers as opposed to "stars" as stated in the category. As it played out, second place going into FJ was advantageous, as Maddie went for the small wager of $2,200 and came out on top with $11,700.
Final scores: David $4,277, Alex $4,000, Maddie $11,700.
Triple Stumper of the day: For a clue about an E. M. Forster novel, after David missed with "A Journey to India", his opponents couldn't jump in with "A Passage to India".
Correct Qs: DD1 - What is Virginia? DD2 - What are arches ? DD3 - What is sibling rivalry? FJ - Who was Mae West?
