Our Top Pick tonight is the new season of Hotel Portofino (PBS & PBS Passport, 8 p.m.). This '20s Italy-set British drama follows and trials and tribulations of the owners, locals, and visitors of an upscale hotel in the resort town of Portofino. So many trials and tribulations. Plus, there's the backdrop of the rising fascism movement in The Boot. I bailed before the end of the first season because (at the point anyway) it moved at a snail's pace. [*shrugs*] It's proven popular for PBS.
Elsewhere, Lazarus dies, K-pop goes primetime, Snowpiercer shuts the door, Orphan Black has a seat, the Mortgage is due on Maple Street, TCM seeks the Guns of August, Cops love fancy hats, and Cocaine hits the spot.
