What's On Tonight (Wednesday): Raise kids or die Trying

Trying

Happy Juneteenth! Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, June 19!

Our Top Pick tonight is Trying (Apple TV+, midnight). This British Apple TV+ comedy has been around for 4 years, and I'm assuming most people haven't heard of it. The first 3 seasons dealt with Esther Smith and Rafe Spall as a couple who struggle with conceiving a child and enter the adoption process. The current season time jumps 6 years and their 2 adopted kids are adolescents. I watched seasons 1 and 2 (because Ophelia Lovibond was in the cast). It is good and the synopsis connects with me, but objectively, I don't think it ever stood-out.

Elsewhere, The 21st Top Chef is crowned, CNN and OWN celebrate Juneteenth, Earth is Dynamic, Black Barbie gets documentary treatment, a hurricane lands on Acapulco, the Presumed sees the evidence, aquafarmers and fishers give Hope, movies get Really Loud, Discovery has Alien Encounters, and Jesse Owens Triumphs.
