I can buy myself flowers! Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, June 12!
Our Top Pick tonight is Acapulco (Apple TV+, midnight). Like many Apple TV+ show's, it's a period series and a rags to riches story. Maximo Gallardo Ramos (Eugenio Derbez) tells the long tale via flashback of his rise at an illustrious Acapulco resort. It becomes bit of succession, trying to curry the boss' favor while also swooning the boss' girlfriend, making friends, and fending off fellow adversaries -- and of course, stay true to his roots like mom wants. It isn't groundbreaking by any stretch, but it is quite charming and certainly worth more attention.
Elsewhere, Pride ain't canceled, Jake Gyllenhaal is Presumed Innocent, the Iron Chef visits Top Chef, David Letterman talks with Sir Charles and Miley, Walker is missing, there's a Big Door parade, you're welcome to the End of the World Vampire party, and the Terracotta Warriors gets Netflix documentary treatment.
