What's On Tonight (Thursday): Well, here goes nothing ...

Via Giphy.

I'm writing this at 7 p.m. EST Monday, June 24. Our Top Pick, the first presidential debate of 2024 between President Biden and ex-President Trump (and just so Amadeus has a specific pick for his records, I'm going with CNN's coverage), is presumably taking place in 74 hours.

While I anticipate the next five months (and beyond), let's see what else TV has to offer us for Thursday, June 27. All times are EST.

STREAMING
My Lady Jane, 12:01 a.m., Amazon. Series premiere. "Inspired by the best-selling book, My Lady Jane is a radical retelling of English royal history, in which King Henry VIII's son Edward (Jordan Peters) does not die of tuberculosis, Lady Jane Grey (Emily Bader) is not beheaded, and neither is her rascal of a husband Guildford (Edward Bluemel). At the center of this rollicking new series is the brilliant and headstrong Jane, who is unexpectedly crowned queen overnight and finds herself the target of nefarious villains coming for the crown (and her head)." Eight episodes available.

Domino Day, 3:01 a.m., Sundance Now/AMC+. Series premiere. "Set and filmed in Manchester, England, the thrilling six-parter stars BAFTA-nominated Siena Kelly as Domino Day, a young woman on all the dating apps, but Domino isn't swiping to find her soulmate ... she's swiping to hunt." Two episodes available, followed by one per week through Thursday, July 25.

Supacell, 3:01 a.m., Netflix. Series premiere. "When five ordinary South Londoners discover they have extraordinary powers, it's down to one man to bring them together to save the woman he loves." Six episodes available.

Breaking New Ground, 3:01 a.m., Max. Series premiere. "Follows Broadway performer (MemphisMotown the Musical), entrepreneur, and educator Robert Hartwell as he takes on the challenge of transforming a 200-year-old house with a complicated history into a home filled with love. It's a renovation story that celebrates the resilience of Robert's journey as well as those who came before him." One episode per week through Thursday, Aug. 1.

Young. Wild. Free., 3:01 a.m., BET+. Premiere. "This coming-of-age film follows a hot-tempered high school senior as he finds his life thrusted into an enticing, dangerous direction after he’s robbed at gunpoint by the girl of his dreams. Brandon (Algee Smith) is a struggling teen who’s charged with caring for his two younger siblings, when Cassidy (Sierra Capri) enters his life. Lured in by her whimsy, Brandon seamlessly slips into the role of Clyde to her Bonnie as they make their way down an increasingly perilous path." Costarring Sanaa Lathan and Mike Epps.

Blue Lights, 3:01 a.m., Britbox. Second season finale. "Where I Want to Be" and "The Loyal." "Annie's job is on the line. As Lee consolidates power, Stevie and Grace are thrown back together on a response call, with terrible consequences." Later, "Mount Eden descends into chaos as Grace tries to get Henry out from under Lee's control. Happy finally learns the truth."

Criminal Minds: Evolution, 3:01 a.m., Paramount+. "Conspiracy vs. Theory." "The BAU enlists Voit to help capture Jade and Damien, the UnSubs behind the Gold Star killings. While Damien and Jade get the upper hand, the BAU must watch as Voit tries to negotiate with them in order to avoid a mass casualty event."

Evil, 3:01 a.m., Paramount+. "How to Dance in Three Easy Steps." "A possibly-possessed dancer leads Kristen, David and Ben to a dance troupe with coven-like practices. Sheryl reaches her breaking point with Leland."
