 Here are today's contestants:

- Andrew Fox, a clinical psychologist from Robbinsdale, Minnesota; and

- Drew Basile, a graduate student from Birmingham, Michigan. Drew is a seven-day champ with winnings of $129,601.

Jeopardy!

LITERARY GEOGRAPHY // ALLITERATION // TV CATCHPHRASES // COLLEGE NEWSPAPERS // "B" WEAR // THE DOGS

DD1 - $600 - ALLITERATION - For the 2022 album from Death Cab for Cutie, it's the song "Asphalt Meadows" (Drew dropped $1,000.)

Scores at first break: Drew $-$800, Andrew -$600, Cat $1,400.

Scores entering DJ: Drew -$1,400, Andrew $200, Cat $3,400.

Double Jeopardy!

ANCIENT NAMES // STUFF ABOUT STATES // GREEK MYTH: WOMEN & GODDESSES // INTERNET CELEBRITIES // AFI'S GREATEST VILLAINS // TEEN-LETTER WORDS

DD2 - $1,200 - ANCIENT NAMES - His "sayings" begin: "The master said, to learn and then do, is not that a pleasure?" (Drew lost $3,000 from his total of $8,600 vs. $3,800 for Cat.)

DD3 - $1,200 - STUFF ABOUT STATES - When this state joined the Union in 1812, it was the only one with a non-English speaking majority (Drew dropped $2,000 from his score of $9,200 vs. $3,800 for Cat.)

Drew was in the red after round one and missed all three DDs, yet still managed to have the lead into FJ $9,600 vs. $5,800 for Cat and $600 for Andrew.

Final Jeopardy!

NOTABLE AMERICAN WOMEN - In her autobiography she tells of a rather "singular coincidence," that one of her Swiss ancestors was a teacher of the deaf

Cat and Andrew were correct on FJ. Cat nearly doubled up to win with $11,500.

Note that if Drew had been correct on DD1 and the rest of the game played out the same way, he would have finished DJ with exactly twice of Cat's score, possibly setting up another tiebreaker.

Final scores: Drew $1,201, Andrew $1,200, Cat $11,500.

Triple Stumper of the day: The show got off to a very rough start as on the opening clue, the players guessed "Cape of Good Horn", "Cape of Horn" and "Cape Cod", while the correct response was the cape on the travel path of the Pequod, "Cape of Good Hope".

Movie miscues: No one could come up with famous film villains Travis Bickle ("Taxi Driver"), Joan Crawford ("Mommy Dearest"), or the Wicked Witch of the West ("The Wizard of Oz").

Correct Qs: DD1 - What is title track? DD2 - Who was Confucius? DD3 - What is Louisiana? FJ - Who was Helen Keller?
