What's On Tonight (Saturday): Look, down in the sea! It's a fish! It's a sub! It's Dinner & a Movie

Dinner & a Movie

Happy Pride! Here's what's on television for tonight, Saturday, June 1!

Our Top Pick tonight is the revival of Dinner & a Movie (TBS, 8 p.m.). After 13-year absence, the Saturday night cable staple returns with hosts Jason Biggs and Jenny Mollen, an IRL couple. I assume they will like each other more than OG hosts Paul Gilmartin and Annabelle Gurwitch, who I thought had great chemistry but behind the scenes despised one another (at the time). Each week is still a movie while the hosts would make some food and chat about the movie around commercials. First up, Aquaman! This iteration brings in Food Network names to concoct the food. Corporate synergy! I think this concept belongs on streaming more than cable, but I don't have a cable network that needs salvaging.

Elsewhere, Trixie is back with more home makeover, Ethan Hawke picks Two, Hallmark loves Honey, Nicole Brown Simpson gets documentary treatment, Vicki Vale scoops the Superman crew, and Oxygen finds Deadly Waters.
