I was waiting to see who would screw up the proposed ceasefire in Gaza first. Unfortunately Israel proved me right in less than a day. Of course they weren't offered good terms. What they were offered was the return of the remaining hostages and a cease in hostility. Those two things are what the majority of Israelis want. Netanyahu wants war so he can stay in power. Hamas? They're laughing it up. Israel is still committed to attacking Rafah which would leave no part of Gaza that hasn't been flattened by Israel. It would also block the two support lines from Egypt altogether. I will never argue that Hamas are the the good guys. They are not. They've held Gaza hostage for a generation. But Israel keeps making themselves appear to be the bad guys. Make no mistake - Netanyahu is a bad guy.

Kari Lake has escalated her rhetoric to include gunfire in her race for the Arizona US Senate seat. Needless to say Mark Kelly, who holds the other seat had a few things to say. There was a mass shooting when his wife was speaking to her constituents. People died. More were injured including his wife who was shot in the head. She survived but the Kelly's want guns out of politics. Lake wants attention at any cost. If someone has to die for it? She's fine with that. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/sen-mark-kelly-kari-lakes-rhetoric-result-people-getting-hurt-killed-rcna150765 [NBC]
