So much for brotherly love. Israel has taken over the Philadelphi Corridor that has served as a DMZ between Israel and Egypt. Egypt wants Hamas stopped (they don't like the Muslim Brotherhood problem that they already have) but they also don't want a bellicose Israel stalking their border. They've lost one soldier already and Israel brushed it off saying no one wants to make a big deal out of this. Or in other words, stop hitting yourself. Every so often I get to say I told you so. I'm almost never happy about this. I've been harping on the futility of the Federal Reserve Board raising the prime interest rate to harness inflation. Finally I'm not the only one. Now if only they would stop it. Eh, not gonna happen. God bless the child that's got it's own because high interest rates ensure that the rich get richer, the poor stay poor and the middle class won't notice until the refinancing runs out.
