What's On Tonight (Thursday): Ricky Stanicky is our Top Picky!

Via Tenor.

I was going to go with the State of the Union Address, but decided that I didn't want two political event Top Picks in one week. I know, I know, I'm contributing to the erosion of culture.

While I marvel that John Cena and/or Zac Efron will eventually destroy us all, let's see what else TV has to offer us for Thursday, March 7. All times are EST.

STREAMING
Ricky Stanicky, 12:01 a.m., Amazon. Premiere. "Twenty years after creating the imaginary Ricky Stanicky, three childhood friends (Zac Efron, Jermaine Fowler and Andrew Santino) still use the nonexistent pal as a handy alibi for their immature behavior. When their spouses and partners get suspicious and demand to finally meet him, the guilty trio decides to hire washed-up actor Rod (John Cena) to bring him to life. However, when Rod takes his role of a lifetime a little too far, they begin to wish they never invented Ricky in the first place."

The Couch: For What It's Worth, 3:01 a.m., BET+. Premiere. "Naomi Samuels (is) a successful physician who finds herself publicly humiliated and suddenly unemployed. Naomi reluctantly returns to her hometown to reconnect with the foster care siblings she's neglected for years. Hopeful to regain control of her life, Naomi and her siblings face a challenge that takes them all over the edge."

Friends in Low Places, 12:01 a.m., Amazon. Premiere. "Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood embark on their most personal journey yet to build the honky-tonk of their dreams in the heart of Nashville. Paying tribute to his roots, Garth enlists the help of his friends, day-one tour team, and an all-star hospitality group to open the epic, four-story bar on Lower Broadway. This is a labor of love and his thank you to the community of Music City."

ARA San Juan: The Submarine That Disappeared, 3:01 a.m., Netflix. Premiere. "Interviews with experts and relatives fuel this investigative docuseries about the tragic 2017 disappearance of a military submarine that shook the world."

The Gentlemen, 3:01 a.m., Netflix. Premiere. "An English aristocrat inherits the family estate only to discover it's sitting on top of a cannabis empire in this thrilling series from Guy Ritchie." Starring Theo James, Giancarlo Esposito and Joely Richardson." Eight episodes available.
