Oh what a day. I'm writing this early because I've already got plenty of news. fill me in below with what I've missed. We're starting with Texas being Texas and being told to stop that. AG Ken Paxton, who hopes to rule in hell one day, has been told that, no, he cannot demand documentation from PFLAG on who they have helped in transitioning genders. Paxton may have taken of something bigger than himself here. PFLAG stands for Parents and Friends of Lesbians And Gays. If you've ever been to a Pride parade you will know when they are coming because the loudest cheers precede them. Not only are they popular but while Paxton is trying to frame this as about parents' rights - these are the parents! [WNCT]

Well dammit. One of my favorite museums - Art Institute of Chicago - has likely possession of a watercolor drawing by one of my favorite artists - Egon Schiele - that was likely stolen by Nazis and was never quite verified after that. I'm hoping that if it does move that it winds up the Leopold Museum in Vienna which has the most comprehensive collection of Schiele. That or the Belvedere which has a smaller collection overshadowed by all of the Klimpt but it would fit there nicely and lately I've been more likely to be in central Vienna than downtown Chicago.
