True Detective: Night Country |
I heard someone screaming and it was me! Here's what's on television for tonight, Sunday, January 28!
Our Top Pick tonight is True Detective: Night Country (HBO & Max, 9 p.m.). 10 years since it premiered and 5 years since its previous season, True Detective is back with a subtitle and Jodie Foster leading the seasonal anthology. Like Fargo, this season seems to be a return to form with plenty of praise. Issa LΓ³pez is the new showrunner for this shorter season — tonight is the halfway mark — which is set in Alaska. I never finished season 3; and I've only watched the first episode of Night Country (so far).
Elsewhere, sportsballs makes programming sparse, Spade needs answers, a Gordon Ramsey kitchen show is back, a Husband has Wives, there's a birthday in Belgravia, Martha Stewart gets docuseries treatment, and The Way Home might be through the past.
