Agatha Christie: Lucy Worsley on the Mystery Queen |
How he came to life one day! Here's what's on television for tonight, Sunday, December 3!
Our Top Pick tonight is the premiere of Agatha Christie: Lucy Worsley on the Mystery Queen (PBS, 8 p.m.). This three-part docuseries import isn't just another dissecting of Agatha's masterful works, but instead dives into her personal life too, attempting to connect the dots on how her early life can be found in her novels. Also, Lucy Worsley, my favorite British historian.
Elsewhere, Karen Gillan guests on The Simpsons, Krapopolis and The Simpsons flip timeslots (again), the Gilded opera wars continue, Aqua Teen sequels, Bass Reeves gets in a firefight, Bob's does a documentary, CNN remembers Chowchilla, and Guy does a man show, Greta Gerwig gets 60'd.

π₯π Christmas with a Kiss (Hallmark Channel): Nearly 3,000 years ago, the norther elvish nations had been involved in a decades-long campaign to rid their lands of the abominable snowmen, who largely roamed the snowy, isolated highlands. However, a century later, the few snowmen tribes that survived the purge had regrouped in the Northern Reaches and had been laying siege to the coastal settlements one by one. After a decade of the intense and brutal Last Abominable Wars (also, The Kiss Wars, named for the infamous "kiss" of the snowmonster -- biting off limbs... or head), a final stand is made by the elvish army of Nordland, the last place in the far north that still had people to fight. Alone, they prepare for their last fight, until an unexpected guest arrives. A vast fleet carrying thousands of gnomes show up, honoring a treaty made nearly 2 millennia ago, when the Nordland kingdoms came to the aid of the gnomish states when the Abominable Snowmonster of the South rampaged their lands. That battle saw the defeat of the south's Snowmonster. This 2-day battle ended with the death of the Abominable Snowmonster of the North and his entire army. Now, we know there were survivors.
