House Republicans have formalized the impeachment of President Biden. They say that they are following where the facts lead them. The only facts that they've uncovered so far is that Joe Biden is President and Joe Biden is a Democrat. That's enough for them. [ABC]

John Eastman, the guy who came up with the insurrection strategy, is a co-defendant in Georgia, is facing disbarment in California and now Jack Smith is looking into him too. [Politico]

Fani Willis is saying that she's willing to entertain plea deals for the co-defendants in Fulton County. This might peel some of Trump's sycophants away. Trump "paying" for your lawyer isn't worth much if you still wind up in prison. [NBC]

President Biden is asking Israel to focus more directly on Hamas and stop the blanket killing of civilians. NSA Jake Sullivan met with Netanyahu. Netanyahu has dug his heels in and promises months more of full scale war. [CNN] [Associated Press]

Putin is gloating. and why shouldn't he? We're sending US bombs to rain on Gaza which makes us unpopular in the Arab world and raises Russia's profile. And we are not sending nearly enough aid to Ukraine. Biden asked for $61 billion which is nothing in the just passed $866 billion military budget. but only $300 million was set aside for Ukraine. Of course gloating is easy for Putin. He's not one of the 315,000 Russian casualties. Putin has proven that he will spend as many lives and as much money as it takes.
