Annika |
Happy end of National Hispanic Heritage Month! Here's what's on television for tonight, Sunday, October 15!
Our Top Pick tonight is season 2 of the British import Annika (PBS & PBS Passport, 10 p.m.). This radio adaptation starring the always reliable Nicola Walker is a unique police procedural because Annika will frequently talk viewers (as she did on radio). You act as her partner as she goes about her day, but especially at crime scenes. She tells you stuff and reasonings going on inside her head. As much as I like it, the cast and chemistry is better than the crime stories. And Annika's team includes Cho Chang all grown up — Katie Leung. As usual, the season airs weekly on PBS while all episodes will be available with PBS' subscription/donor service, PBS Passport.
Elsewhere, there's Courage in Ukraine, The Gold is not found, Rick and Morty return, World on Fire is back in heat, Hotel Portofino is back to take reservations (preferably not from fascists), Billy the Kid still exists, and Daryl Dixon is done Walking for a while.
