Waupun, the aging, main sate penitentiary in Wisconsin has been in complete lockdown since March and I'm only hearing about it now? The men don't leave their cells for anything. Food is irregular. Toilet paper is rare. Lack of access to the law library has meant that many of the men have missed their opportunities to appeal. Prison is horrifying enough. No one deserves this. [WUWM]

The New College in Florida has been stolen by DeSantis. He's fired admin and profs. He's even gotten rid of students. Now he's created an athletic program out of thin air. They are recruiting an outrageous numbers of athletes from right wing Christian schools and offering scholarships on merit to students without merit in order to change a formerly liberal arts school into a fascist training center.
