Our Top Pick tonight is the new miniseries The Other Black Girl (Hulu, midnight). Adapted from Zakiya Dalila Harris' novel, Nella (Sinclair Daniel) gets a Black co-worker (Ashleigh Murray) at an uber-white publishing firm. But despite many pleasantries between them, Nella wonders as strange things begin to happen. Harris has cited Passing by Nella Larsen, Kindred by Octavia E. Butler, Sula by Toni Morrison, Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Jordan Peele's Get Out and Ira Levin's The Stepford Wives as influences and inspirations.
