What's On Tonight (Wednesday): Let's get Physical

Physical

Phrasing! Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, August 30!

Our Top Pick tonight is Physical (Apple TV+, midnight). The '80s-set dark comedy series is in its 3rd and final season with rising aerobics star Sheila Rubin (Rose Byrne) duking it out with new rival Kelly Kilmartin (Zooey Deschanel). Burns performance is much better than the show itself, which is populated with unpleasant characters and occasionally odd dream sequences. The sets, costumes, and hairstyling are also pretty good. And I'm kind digging Zooey's southern accent.

Elsewhere, Archer still exists, Netflix wants to Live to 100, normalcy is attempted during the Invasion, Dogs goes camping, The Afterparty turns into a melodrama, Vice Reports on Ticketmaster, MasterChef sleeps with the fishes, and Northern Ireland finds peace.
