Several high schools in Arkansas are saying fuck you to the state and offering AP African American Studies anyway. The state won't let that count as credits toward graduation and likely won't honor the results at the college level. The schools either already have plans to cover the AP exam at the end of the year or are working on plans so that the cost won't fall on the students. It's important to note that one of those high schools was at the center of Brown vs. the Board of Education which is one of the cornerstones of the civil rights movement and something that every student should be taught about - especially in Little Rock, Arkansas.
