Trump and his co-conspirators will be booked at Fulton County Jail. It is unclear if and unlikely that they will be held in lockup. If they are, the notoriously overcrowded facility will share one thing in common with a Trump hotel. The bedbugs outnumber the inmates. [Atlanta Journal-Constitution]

The Fulton County special grand jurors are happy with the RICO indictment and if anything are surprised that so few co-conspirators were named. They expected thirty or so. They also want their findings published. [Atlanta Journal-Constitution]

The first Republican Presidential Debate is coming up. It was original scheduled to take place at the Saint Kate's Hotel owned by the Marcus Corporation. Saint Kate's is an "Art Hotel". The whole place is filled with original artwork and it hosts performances - including the occasional drag show. The moment that was announced there were protests demanding that it be moved. The teacher's union was particularly vocal. Marcus Corp. issued a statement that the debate had never been scheduled. I'm guessing the ink wasn't dry and they tore up the contract.

So now we'll be treated to the spectacle of a tiny table or a bunch of lecterns in the cavernous Fiserv Forum. The last time that I was there was the other week to see Stevie Nicks and the house was nearly full so almost 18,000 people. How many do you think will show up to this clown show? It should be interesting to see the difference between the optics of Fox News, MSNBC and PBS. Will they be able to fix the echo?
