What's On Tonight (Wednesday): My God! The Invasion

Secret Invasion

Wake me up before you go-go! Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, July 5!

Our Top Pick tonight is Secret Invasion (Disney+, 3 a.m.). This Marvel espionage miniseries pits Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury against a renegade group of the shape-shifting Skrulls who have infiltrated the highest levels of government and are set to takeover Earth. Fury's gotta do something but has yet to really do anything other than mope around and get mad at people who confront him about his years of inaction helping the Skrulls. Ben Mendelsohn is his Skrull ally, Emilia Clarke is Mendelsohn's rouge daughter, Olivia Colman is an MI6 agent, Kingsley Ben-Adir is the renegade leader, and Cobie Smulders is, well, nevermind.

ElsewhereThe Clearing gets cleared, Disney welcomes Generation Fire, Nancy Drew studies a creature, Wham gets documentary treatment, Andre and Annika smash, the Human Footprint marks PBS, Riverdale gets musical, and Risk E. Rat is Always Sunny.
