What's On Tonight (Sunday): Token for your crime

DI Ray

Dyn-O-Mite! Here's what's on television for tonight, Sunday, July 9!

Our Top Pick tonight is the premiere of the British crime import DI Ray (PBS, 10 p.m.). Starring Parminder Nagra in the title role, the series focuses on a Birmingham police force and a culturally specific homicide division led by DCI Kerry Henderson (Gemma Whelan). Ray realizes her recent promotion was a token hire. Maybe she should have stuck to her job at County General.

ElsewhereRidley finds a killer, Domina and Grantchester return, Parminder Nagra is D.I. Ray, Bradley Cooper is Running Wild, ABC holds a Prank Panel, MSNBC profiles Oppenheimer, CNN begins the History of Black Television, Jeff Jenkins will Never Say Never, and Yellowjackets play the Feud.
