Justice Alito seems to be trying to steal the title of the most corrupt US Supreme Court Justice. Roberts was in the running but it's Alito dominating the headlines now. [Intercept]

I had a busy weekend and was mostly cut off from the news. I recommend that once in a while. When I got back  on schedule I was surprised by a bunch of crazy shit going on in baseball (check Sportsball this morning). But I was not surprised at all by Prigozhin's rebellion/attempted coup/whatever you want to call it. I'd been expecting this. What I didn't expect was for Prigozhin to back down so close to Moscow and that it was negotiated by the usually useless Putin pawn, Lukashenko of Belarus. There's something missing to this story. I thought I was catching up but it turns out that the bulk of the US media were focusing on peripheral issues that played to their audience and not informing us about the biggest story affecting the second nuclear power. Shameless. [The Pop Culturalists] [Nation]
