The guy who shot up that synagogue in Pittsburgh was convicted on all 63 federal charges. We're waiting on sentencing. Most likely death. But he'll die behind bars no matter the sentence. [Pittsburgh Post-Gazette]

Wisconsin Republicans voted to end child care funding. These are the same Republicans that expect single mothers to get a job. About the only jobs that those mothers can get is childcare (which costs a fortune but pays crap) so they hopefully can take care of somebody else's kids while raising their own. Also, minimum wage/full time doesn't even cover housing let alone food and childcare. And jobs that pay that little won't let you work full time because then you would get benefits. I'd strap those Republicans down and force them to watch It's a Wonderful Life over and over but I know that they would just identify with the wrong character. [Associated Press]
