Never let the right get away with telling you that they are conservative. That ship has sailed. When a Cheney is too far to the left for them? Oh no, they're thoroughly reactionary. One issue in particular that's been a big bugaboo for them lately is trans/drag people. They can't tell the difference. They finally learned that they can't attack LGB people unless they want to lose so they've doubled down on the T. They don't know the real T which is the Truth because they've never been in the truth game. Why do I have to hear politicians talking about drag queens twerking on a toddlers lap as if that would happen in this or any universe?
Normal people can see past this nonsense. Normal people are not in our state legislatures. The right lost the culture war (that they started) but they refuse to surrender. [Vox]
