Silly hats all weekend. The Derby was far shorter than the Coronation and was an excuse to drink bourbon during the day. Advantage Louisville. Unfortunately it was not all a wreath of roses. One horse dying would have been too many. This was inexcusable. [NPR]

Leafs' goalie Ilya Samsonov was taken out of the 3rd game with an injury just seconds into the 2nd period of the third game in the playoff series against Florida. The Leafs were up 1-0 and then went on to lose 3-2. The series is at 3-0 as Florida continues on its charmed way. [NHL]

James Harden's 3-pointer in overtime followed up by Marcus Smart's too late response. I'd say the Milwaukee Bucks understand how the Celtics feel but Boston is now tied 2-2 while the Bucks are out. [Philadelphia Inquirer]
