Today in important news: Medical and science advisors to the FDA voted unanimously to recommend a progestin only birth control pill without prescription. Hopefully the FDA will follow their advice. [ABC]

I'm tired of people wrecking places in Colorado where my family used to live. First it was Columbine in Littleton. Now it's Woodland Park. The far right has taken over the school system and it's even worse than you think. It's a Republican town but even Republicans are angry about what's happening. [NBC]

Joe Manchin needs attention again - as well as more money in his pocket. He's threatening to block all Biden's appointments to the EPA if Biden doesn't cripple the EPA. Funny how this happened the day after Diane Feinstein returned. I bet there was a race between Manchin and Sinema over who could put themselves over the country first. [Reuters]

In good environmental that Manchin would try to block if he was aware of it, portions of the Milwaukee River are being dredged and cleaned of contaminated sludge. I doubt Manchin would care that this is being underwritten by WE Energies - the local gas and electric utility. [Urban Milwaukee]
