Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always |
This is the way! Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, April 19!
Our Top Pick tonight is the one-hour reunion-ish movie/special Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always (Netflix, 3 a.m.). After the death of one of their own (Trini), several veteran rangers — Zack and Billy plus later rangers Rocky and Kat — unite to defeat the return of Rita Repulsa. Trini also has a daughter who wants to fight. The movie is for the 30th anniversary of the show, which I watched religiously as a kid — I still have a couple VHS tapes full of episodes — but acknowledge (as an adult) it is pretty terrible with awful dialogue and thin plots.
Elsewhere, Snowfall's last flake falls, MTV gets Stoned ahead of 4/20, The Ark wants peace, school's out at Abbott, the Mandalorians face doom, The Goldbergs is living in an uptown world, Ted Lasso goes to Amsterdam, Digman seeks Amelia Earhart's plane, HGTV has a Heartbeat, Netflix profiles the Chimps, our Planet is still Changing, and Nature ventures to Niagara Falls.
