What's On Tonight (Sunday): American rage

Waco: The Aftermath

Ciao! Here's what's on television for tonight, Sunday, April 23!

Our Top Pick tonight is the sequel limited series Waco: The Aftermath (Showtime, 10 p.m.). This sequel reunites Michael Shannon, Shea Whigham, John Leguizamo, and Annika Marks as the trial follows the 1993 Waco standoff, igniting an anger that radicalized Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols. This very much feels like an attempt at prestige television making with the subject matter and contemporary times. However, I'd suggest PBS' documentaries on the subject American Experiences' Oklahoma City and Ruby Ridge and Frontline's "Divided States of America" and "American Patriot."

Elsewhere, Barry is back, Marie Antoinette becomes queen, Family Guy is back, Succession has a sale to settle, 60 Minutes talks AI, a new 100 Foot Wave approaches, Bob goes on a shopping spree, Anderson Cooper tells The Whole Story, and Food Network said Ciao.
