There is literally nothing about capital punishment that is not about state murder. We cloak it in "justice" but it's not justice, it's vengeance. Almost all of the civilized world recognizes this. The US is nearly unique in its bloodthirsty campaign to kill. Mostly poor people of color by the way. We don't even pretend that the system is fair. And we lie. Prosecutors have always lied to protect themselves and their predecessors. But also any medical "professional" endorsing capital punishment must lie by default because their profession forbids. it.
