No stranger to garages, Pence arrived to testify in court through the garage and tight security. We don't know what he had to say to the grand jury but it was under oath. I'm amused by his use of the royal "we" in the Newsmax quote at the end of this article. [NBC]
As expected, the push to erase the deadline for the Equal Rights Amendment failed to get the sixty votes needed to move forward. While the Senator from Maine was merely concerned and voted no, Lisa Mukowski vocally pushed for approval and voted yes. You know what the rest of the Republicans did. Democrats believe that women are human and voted accordingly with one exception. In one of those weird but necessary parliamentary procedures, Schumer voted against his own proposal so that it would be possible to bring it forward again. Don't ask me. I used to be a parliamentarian and had most of Robert's Rules of Order in my head but the Senate has added so many rules that it's like watching an NFL game. I used to know what was going on.
But the main thing is that this was mostly showboating and put everyone on record. [ABC]

Nikki Haley hit a two-fer. Not only did she say the quiet part out loud about Biden's age (and completely ignored impending corpse Trump) but put the racism on the front burner by scaring people about the possibility of President Harris. [Business Insider]
