I'm sorry but this was just not a day for good news. I believe Lulubelle found a BBC site that's nothing but good news and maybe you want to go there instead. Because we're starting with Kevin McCarthy and that never ends good. He wants "all the facts" before he'll consider gun control at least for automatic rifles. Here are the facts: three children dead, three school personnel dead one shooter dead. That's just this week. It happened last week it will happen next week. When will it not be too soon to talk about it? [CNN]

North Carolina just passed the dumbest gun law in the nation. It has nothing to do with nationally regulated dealers who are required to a background check but it applies to private sales. They removed the background check so now you can go out and buy a handgun and make a profit selling it to a criminal. Is that the world that we want to live in? [Associated Press]
