RWNJ's are coming for your uterus. Hell, they're not even stopping there. Twenty-one Republicans in South Carolina are sponsoring a bill that will subject women who have an abortion to the death penalty. [Rolling Stone]
Over in Texas, Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk is promising a quick decision in a case that may determine whether you can get Mifepistone whether or not you live in a state where abortion is legal. He's also screwing around with the docket. Mifepristone is the most common form of abortion and is very safe. [Texas Tribune] [CNN]
In case you're a boy and don't understand why this is a huge deal for women, there are guys out there "stealthing". Here's a case where a man was actually punished. I know he's not the only one because I've had guys brag about it. [CBS]
This story is about abortion but also so many other things. Wisconsin regularly votes blue but it's so gerrymandered that the GOP has a majority in the legislature. Dark money ensures that the state Supreme Court has a red majority as well. Kelly has been getting money from election deniers. If he gets a seat on the court there's no telling what will happen in the next election. Voter rights will be restricted and there will be plenty of shenanigans. The race is setting records nationally for the amount of money spent. Janet has been collecting small donations for the most part while Kelly collects from billionaires. [Guardian]
Political discussion welcome.
