What's On Tonight (Sunday): Last laugh

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver

Let's start the show! Here's what's on television for tonight, Sunday, February 26!

Our Top Pick tonight is Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO, 11 p.m.). It's been several years since the show was Top Pick, so... why not. Let's have it back. The too-many-times Emmy-winning show finds the former Daily Show correspondent dissecting current issues with humor. I suppose. (I'm the rare dissenter that doesn't like the show.) This Emmy cycle, the show will move categories and go head-to-head with other too-many-times Emmy-winning show Saturday Night Live.

Elsewhere, actors get acting awards, The Blacklist returns for a final time, 1923 ends, Magnum embraces K-pop, Simpsons finds a new origin story, the Equalizer gets con'd, Way Home stop tragedy, Lavell Crawford makes us laugh, and Family Guy is a single parent.

(All times are Eastern. All listings are new unless otherwise stated. For more listings, visit The Futon Critic or Zap2it.)
