What's On Tonight (Friday): Hungry Like the Viking Wolf...

Viking Wolf

Wolf in the city, wearing attire
Somewhere in Norway, death count goes higher
Do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do
People, it's killing, carnage it mines
Stops for a moment, and smells it's behind
Do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do

There's blood on the ground
It's on the hunt, it’s after you
Looks like a hound
For your throat it bounds
Cause it's fucking Viking Wolf

Top Pick is nigh
I need to decide
Nothing stands out, what can I do?
All looks so sad, tearful and mad
So it's fucking Viking Wolf

TOP PICK

🎥 Viking Wolf (Netflix, 3:01 AM) 'After witnessing a grotesque murder at a party in her new town, a teenager starts having strange visions and bizarre desires.'

Elsewhere...

*Here's your official heads up that Freevee's new documentary, Rowdy, has nothing to do with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper.

*Apple has a new series about a kid who somehow is the only survivor of a plane crash.  It's apparently based on a book, but I smell a stealth Unbreakable follow-up.  If it takes place in Pennsylvania, that seals it.

*Seriously, everything coming out today looks so depressing.  I watched the trailers for most of them.  I am not in a good place right now.  It's all I could do to bang out that killer intro song.

I'd like to issue a correction for last week's WoT.  I wish to rescind the Top Pick status from You People, and bestow it upon Lockwood & Co.  The fact is, bestowing Top Pick to You People, a film I have yet to watch, was shortsighted.  I binged my way through Lockwood over the weekend and enjoyed the hell out of it.

That Netflix was willing to not only produce this show but give it a proper budget definitely salves the wounds left by the tragic cancellation of Warrior Nun.  I mean, maybe Netflix isn't so bad after all?  Maybe they have learned how to let a show grow and breathe and become its own thing and I've just been informed Lockwood & Co. has been cancelled.  The prospective budget for the second season will instead be spent on making every episode of the final season of Stranger Things over four hours long.  Well, you can't argue with that (you can totally argue with that).
