What's On Tonight (Wednesday): Home sweet home

Home Economics

Hola! Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, January 17!

Our Top Pick tonight is the season finale of Home Economics (ABC, 9:30 p.m.). It's a good show, you guys! It didn't start out that way. Like other ABC sitcoms — American Housewife, Single Parents, Fresh Off the Boat, etc. — this comedy, which follows 3 grown siblings (Topher Grace, Caitlin McGee, Jimmy Tatro) — and their families — who are now in vastly different income brackets, struggled to find itself in the first season, and a retooling for season 2 helped immensely. The show still has its plots that miss the mark, but the cast chemistry is superb. My favorite pairing by far are Karla Souza and Sasheer Zamata (see gif), who married into the family and are one another's rock in family ordeals.

Elsewhere, Zoey is still Grown-ish, Dave Kim visits the GoldbergsNature celebrates an old Scots pine tree, Roku has Cupcakes, Mariana Van Zeller gets Traffickedthe One goes Global, the Conners fight, and Big Sky wants justice in its finale.
