Tonight's Top Pick is the premiere of Poker Face, a mystery-of-the-week series starring Natasha Lyonne as a "human lie detector." Rian Johnson created the show, executive produces it and directed the pilot.

Let's see what else TV has to offer us for Thursday, Jan. 26. All times are EST.

STREAMING
The 1619 Project, 12:01 a.m., Hulu. Series premiere. "An expansion of 'The 1619 Project' created by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Nikole Hannah-Jones and The New York Times Magazine. In keeping with the original project, the series seeks to reframe the country's history by placing the consequences of slavery and the contributions of Black Americans at the very center of our national narrative. The episodes - 'Democracy,' 'Race,' 'Music,' 'Capitalism,' "Fear,' and 'Justice' - are adapted from essays from The New York Times No. 1 bestselling The 1619 Project: A New Origin Story and examine how the legacy of slavery shapes different aspects of contemporary American life." Two episodes each week through Feb. 9.

Clean Sweep, 12:01 a.m., Sundance Now. Series premiere. "Created by Gary Tieche (Preacher) and inspired by true events, this Irish thriller follows Shelly Mohan (Charlene McKenna, Bloodlands, Peaky Blinders), a housewife, mother of three, married to a Garda detective, who kills her former partner in crime when he threatens to expose her dark past. With her unsuspecting husband hunting for the killer, Shelly must cope with pressures of the tightening noose as well as continue caring for an ailing son, her unfaithful husband, and all usual burdens of motherhood." Two episodes available, then one a week through Feb. 23.

Poker Face, 3:01 a.m., Peacock. Series premiere. "Charlie (Natasha Lyonne) has an extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying. She hits the road with her Plymouth Barracuda and with every stop encounters a new cast of characters and strange crimes she can't help but solve." Guest stars will include Adrien Brody, Benjamin Bratt, Charles Melton, Cherry Jones, Chloë Sevigny, Clea DuVall, Ellen Barkin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Judith Light, Luis Guzmán, Nick Nolte, Rhea Perlman, Ron Perlman, S. Epatha Merkerson and Tim Meadows. Four episodes available, followed by one a week through March 9.

Teen Wolf: The Movie, 3:01 a.m., Paramount+. Premiere. "A full moon rises in Beacon Hills and with it a terrifying evil has emerged. The wolves are howling once again, calling for the return of banshees, werecoyotes, hellhounds, kitsunes and every other shapeshifter in the night. But only a werewolf like Scott McCall (Tyler Posey), no longer a teenager yet still an alpha, can both gather new allies and reunite trusted friends to fight back against what could be the most powerful and deadliest enemy they've ever faced." This reminds me that I should really reconnect with Captcha Reader. We had some good times thirsting over the guys on this show.

Wolf Pack, 3:01 a.m., Paramount+. Series premiere. "From a Spark to a Flame." "Follows a teenage boy and girl whose lives are changed forever when a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature and drives it to attack a highway traffic jam beneath the burning hills. Wounded in the chaos, the boy and girl are inexplicably drawn to each other and to two other teenagers who were adopted sixteen years earlier by a park ranger after another mysterious wildfire. As the full moon rises, all four teens come together to unravel the secret that connects them - the bite and blood of a werewolf." Starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, but not as the park ranger.

Criminal Minds: Evolution, 3:01 a.m., Paramount+. "Forget Me Knots." "Rossi leads the BAU to new information regarding Sicarius. Meanwhile, Voit takes a risk in an effort to deal with his urges."

Gossip Girl, 3:01 a.m., HBO Max. Series finale. "I Am Gossip."

Velma, 3:01 a.m., HBO Max. Two episodes available.
