What's On Tonight (Sunday): These fungi can grow on you

The Last of Us

Avengers assemble! Here's what's on television for tonight, Sunday, January 29!

Our Top Pick tonight is the post-apocalyptic drama The Last of Us (HBO, 9 p.m.). 2 decades after a fungi mutation allows for a type to survive in humans, causing its host to transform to a hostile, zombie-like state, Joel (Pedro Pascal) must take 14-year-old Ellie (Bella Ramsey), who might possess a cure, across the infested remains of the United States. So far, I think it's really, really good, balancing various tones and story arcs quite well.

Elsewhere, a cow is in crisis, Fire incinerates Sunday, Kingstown still has a mayor, Miss Scarlet detects police corruption, The Way Home revisits a first kiss, and 2 now-Oscar nominees chat with Graham.
