What's On Tonight (Tuesday): Out of the Noise, The Voice

via Giphy

Tonight's Top Pick is the season finale of The Voice. You have to admit, it's gone significantly farther than I think any of us expected. Way back in 2011, I wrote it off as a poor man's American Idol.

Let's see what else TV has to offer us for Tuesday, Dec. 13. All times are EST.

STREAMING
Dr. Seuss Baking Challenge, 12:01 a.m., Amazon/Freevee. Premiere. An unscripted competition series, hosted by Tamera Mowry-Housley. Eight episodes available.

Kindred, 12:01 a.m., FX on Hulu. Premiere. "Dana James (Mallori Johnson), a young Black woman and aspiring writer who has uprooted her life of familial obligation and relocated to Los Angeles, (is) ready to claim a future that, for once, feels all her own. But, before she can settle into her new home, she finds herself being violently pulled back and forth in time. She emerges at a nineteenth-century plantation, a place remarkably and intimately linked with Dana and her family. An interracial romance threads through Dana's past and present, and the clock is ticking as she struggles to confront secrets she never knew ran through her blood, in this genre-breaking exploration of the ties that bind." Eight episodes available.

The Battle for Justina Pelletier, 3:01 a.m., Peacock. Premiere. "Exploring the harrowing true story of Justina Pelletier, a 14-year-old-girl who entered Boston Children's Hospital with a mysterious set of symptoms. Quickly, suspicions turned towards the parents and Justina became a ward of the state, leaving her family in disbelief. The family called it 'medical kidnapping.' The hospital accused the parents of medical child abuse, aka 'Munchausen syndrome by proxy.' The battle between the two sides inspired an anonymous computer hacker to take matters into his own hands, hurling the family into a national debate about parental rights, child protections and the gray areas in between." Four episodes available.

The Checkup with Dr. David Agus, 3:01 a.m., Paramount+. Finale, rescheduled from yesterday. Guests are Amy Schumer, talking about her struggle with chronic pain and infertility; Nick Cannon, sharing his resilience over personal tragedy; and Jane Fonda & Lily Tomlin, revealing secrets to longeivity and aging gracefully. Three episodes available.

Welcome to Chippendales, 12:01 a.m., Hulu. "Leeches." "While Nick takes the Big Apple by storm, Steve is back in LA staring down a discrimination lawsuit. Jealousy flares when Nick becomes a media darling -- and the face of the brand."

Tom Papa: What a Day!, 3:01 a.m., Netflix. Stand up comedy special.
