Here is your weekly thread to talk anything and everything food.
Share what you're cooking this week, ask for tips or recipes for a dish, tell us about your meals out.
It's Gravy Day, the day Australians listen to this Christmas song.
This year, my Christmas meal contributions will be:
- Date and ginger chocolate chip cookies
- Spiced dulce de leche thumb-print cookies
- Cherry trifle (I'm using the jelly recipe from this plum trifle, but changing the fruit)
- Chermoula roasted orange and vegetables with chickpeas and cous cous
- Sangria
Honestly, seeing this list, I'm a little over-whelmed. The thought of transporting all of that... Good thing Christmas is a Sunday this year, so at least Christmas Eve is not a work day.
Anyone else have a local Christmas song with a vague relationship to food?
I'll be taking a break from Occasional Cooks for a couple of weeks - see you all in the new year.
