What's On Tonight (Sunday): Paul T. Goldman is Paul T. Goldman in Paul T. Goldman

Paul T. Goldman

Twenty Twenty-Three! Here's what's on television for tonight, Sunday, January 1!

Our Top Pick tonight is the premiere of the hard-to-describe hybrid Paul T. Goldman (Peacock, 3 a.m.). Paul T. Goodman was scammed by his ex and a conspiracy was uncovered, and director Jason Woliner tries to tell that story. The 6-episode series is about the making of a movie about Goodman — based on Goldman's own screenplay, adapted from his autobiography, Duplicity — but it risks going off the rails. Goldman stars as himself and offers commentary and notable stars join for various reenactments. From everything I've read, the show is a real hybrid.

Elsewhere, Giancarlo Esposito leads a heist, sheep take over 1923, Hugh Bonneville gets Great in Vienna, The Great North gets crabs, The Simpsons fill your YouTube recommendations, and George & Tammy have divorced.
