The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers |
Does this look like a little weight to you? Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, November 16!
Our Top Pick tonight is sportspuck dramedy The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers (Disney+, 3 a.m.). The series is a follow-up to the '90s film series with Lauren Graham as the new coach of a junior hockey team. Emilio Estevez revived his franchise character Gordon Bombay in season 1, but isn't a part of season 2, which finds the team going to summer camp. Josh Duhamel joined the cast.
Elsewhere, Santa still has a Clause, Leverage seeks more Redemption, NYC gets its final Horror Story, Florence Pugh is a Wonder, Chucky gets locked in, Stargirl meets a familiar foe, Fire pursues dating, and the Vampire is in a love triangle.

π₯ In Her Hands (Netflix, 3 a.m.): "At 26, Zarifa Ghafari, became one of Afghanistan's first female mayors and the youngest to ever hold the position. Filmed over two turbulent years, the film documents her personal battle for survival as her country unravels."
Leverage: Redemption (FreeVee, midnight): SEASON PREMIERE. The team pulls Harry back into the fold to help a journalist investigating corruption.
⭐ The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers (Disney+, 3 a.m.): "Fresh off their visit to the Anaheim Pond, our Ducks have found their 'sideways' skills - offbeat ways to succeed on the ice - putting them on a collision course with Coach Cole's juggernaut Team Dominate. Jace and Evan step into new roles as captains, but talk of a major shake-up threatens the chemistry of both the Ducks and Dominate."
πΊ Reno 911! (Paramount+, now): The short-form Quibi series was good, as was the Roku season, the movie was bad. The original six-season series is still my preferred version of this law enforcement mockumentary. Thomas Lennon, Robert Ben Garant, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Cedric Yarbrough, Carlos Alazraqui, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Niecy Nash. It's a really strong comedy cast.
The Santa Clauses (Disney+, 3 a.m.): SERIES PREMIERE. Another movie franchise lives again on the small screen! "Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) is about to turn 65 and, realizing he can't be Santa forever, sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa while preparing his family for a new adventure in life south of the pole."✔️
Sherman's Showcase (AMC+, 3 a.m.): Sherman takes a page, well, maybe several pages, from the Netflix show Bandersnatch and presents the first truly interactive episode. (Last week's episode: IFC, 10:30 p.m.)
π₯ The Wonder (Netflix, 3 a.m.): "Set in The Irish Midlands in 1862, the story follows a young girl who stops eating but remains miraculously alive and well. English nurse Lib Wright (Florence Pugh) is brought to a tiny village to observe eleven-year old Anna O'Donnell (KΓla Lord Cassidy). Tourists and pilgrims mass to witness the girl who is said to have survived without food for months."✔️
