What's On Tonight (Saturday): Come on get Happy

Finding Happy

Come together! Here's what's on television for tonight, Saturday, November 5!

Our Top Pick tonight is the freshman dramedy Finding Happy (Bounce TV, 8 p.m.). The show follows Yaz (B. Simone), who feels stagnant as she turns 36 years old, upon making moves to change her life and (finally) find her own happiness. It is an okay show, but I'm definitely not the target audience.

Elsewhere, Frankie Muniz does Magic, Amy Shumer is LiveMade in Abyss is back, Doctor Blake goes to death row, Netflix has an OrgasmYashahime gives away the Black Pearl, and Abbott and Costello meet the classic spooks.

(All times are Eastern. All listings are new unless otherwise stated. For more listings, visit The Futon Critic or Zap2it.)

This Weekend in Pop Culture (9:30 p.m.): What pop culture have you consumed lately? This is our weekly thread for you talk about it.

STREAMING & EARLY PRIMETIME

πŸ“Ί The Addams Family (Pluto TV, now): This Hanna-Barbera-produced 1973 Saturday morning cartoon of the classic Addams clan isn't that good, but it is a worthy curiosity for Addams fans. Ted Cassidy and Jackie Coogan are the only actors who return from the primetime series, but there's also young Jodie Foster voicing Wednesday.

The Doctor Blake Mysteries (Ovation, 7 p.m.): Blake is called to a delirious death row prisoner who plead guilty to murder long ago.

πŸŽ₯ Orgasm Inc: The Story of OneTaste (Netflix, 3 a.m.): A sexual wellness company gains fame and followers for its practice of "orgasmic meditation" — until members come forward with disturbing allegations.✔️

⭐ Finding Happy (Bounce TV): When Yaz discovers that the video she secretly shot of Princess Charles has been leaked, she fears getting fired and skips work to play hooky with Jamila. The two cousins head to Atlanta's Black Hair Museum.

πŸŽ₯πŸŽ„ Lights, Camera, Christmas! (Hallmark Channel): In this documentary, we get a look into the up-and-coming movie business in Mistletown and some of the stars of the day. It will also include a sneak peek to some upcoming movies: Some Like It Cold, The Silence of the YamsThe Figs of Wrath, Bulb Runner, and One Flew Over the Partridge's Nest.

πŸŽ₯πŸŽ„ Merry Swissmas (Lifetime): While spending Christmastime with her mother in Switzerland, an architect meets a single father who shows her how to open herself up to love and forgiveness during the holiday season.

πŸŽ₯πŸŽ„  A Royal Christmas on Ice (GAC Family): It's been 700 years since Krampus first arrived on the Christmasia continent, back when the countryside was divided up amongst hundreds of small ever-changing kingdoms and principalities. While his early years still have plenty of mystery to them, new information has come to light. In this drama, we find a young Krampus settle in the Koalburg town of Gruber, now a suburb of Pottersville, and get in on the booming coal industry. His business ingenuity and ambitions allowed him to rise the ranks in the royal family-owned Forte Coal Company, earning him the ear of the king. However, Krampus wanted more than the ear... he wanted the head. He wouldn't get that chance until the next king, Maestro III, was crowned, which was also around the time he married his first wife, believed to be Maestro III's sister. Now married into the royal family, his hostile takeover of the family coal company makes his ascension that much easier. And what better way to grab the throne than by the royal family disappearing during a Christmas vacation on the lake during a particularly cold spell.

πŸŽ₯ See How They Run (HBO): In the West End of 1950s London, plans for a movie version of a smash-hit play come to an abrupt halt after a pivotal member of the crew is murdered.✔️

πŸ•˜ 9 P.M. EASTERN / πŸ•— 8 P.M. CENTRAL

πŸ“Ί The Fugitive (Decades): Spend the weekend with Dr. Richard Kimble, an innocent victim of blind justice. Sentenced to death for the murder of his wife, a train derailment allowed him to escape, and now he runs, helping many along the way. I'd argue Kimble is the most good character in television. In this two-part episode, "Dr. Kimble comes upon Sister Veronica, who convinces him to accompany her on her trip to Sacramento despite his protests that he's heading in another direction."✔️

With Jack Frost’s Project Christmas Wish, Gens. Dancer and Comet lead the efforts to liberate the lands on the ground and in the air. Dominick, aka "The Donkey," finds himself crashing and alone when he is shot down during the raid on Fort Frankincense, unable to deliver his payload to the Black Spruce target, which was meant to better arm the resistance. Stranded in the middle of Maple Valley’s maple tree farms, Dominick needs to decipher between friend and foe to survive, and he still has vital information that must reach the resistance leaders Hinkle and Karen. Meanwhile, Gen. Comet needs his ace Dominick because Krampus has much better air support than expected.
