Doctor Who |
Reverse the polarity of the neutron flow! Here's what's on television for tonight, Sunday, October 23!
Our Top Pick tonight is the final 2022 special of Doctor Who (BBC America, 8 p.m.), and the send off for the Thirteenth Doctor. This Chris Chibnall-era of Who has been, at best, uneven, and the previous two specials were pretty lackluster. Yet I've thoroughly enjoyed Jodie Whittaker in the title role of Time Lord traveling through space and time. It took a while for companion Yasmin to grow on me. I just hope her regeneration scene isn't super sad like the Second's.
Elsewhere, the battle for the Westeros throne begins, Annika knows Norse mythology, SEAL Team turns 100, Family Law won't pray the gay away, the Gigolo needs answers, Miss Scarlet searches for Darwin, Claudia is a curious Vampire, The Simpsons flashes back to a supernatural clown, and there's daddy issues in East New York.
Cancellation League (3 p.m.-ish): Who gets points? Maybe you. Maybe me. I'm rooting for me.

It was a crisis and the government was already stretched thin with other droughts throughout the lands. As starvation levels started to hit in the gnome-dominated regions, Sander McSandy I returned from a long expedition that had kept him away from his homeland for 6 years. He and his crew had traveled to worlds beyond seeking to know what existed on other ends of the seas. They had been to Norse, Hibernia, and Christmasia, trading and exchanging ideas. His return home saddens the weary traveler on many levels, but he gets to see his family once again. His 2 children, now grown, are about to start families of their own, despite the chaos setting in. McSandy sees his purpose differently now, and sets in motion a large exit from Kleinberg to Christmasia, whose southern lands are still sparsely populated with most settlements only along the seas and rivers. Though sad to leave after so quickly arriving, McSandy – with his wife by his side – will take a 26-ship fleet to Christmasia where they will establish what will become Sandberg colony, and generations later a Christmasia province. However, McSandy never got to return to Faerieland.
