What you see is what you get! Here's what's on television for tonight, Saturday, October 8!
Our Top Pick tonight is the long-running concert series Austin City Limits (PBS, 11 p.m.). One season younger than Saturday Night Live, the late-night Saturday program featured Brandi Carlile last week and tonight, features Japanese Breakfast and Arlo Parks. Judging by the stage setup in the previews, there will be gonging! I saw Japanese Breakfast in concert this summer. 5 stars, would recommend. And she was the best SNL musical guest last season.
Elsewhere, Cari Farver disappears, The Waiting Room returns, some Friends are Cursed, the Election results go to meltdown, Phineas & Ferb meet Luz in Chibiverse, iHeartRadio Music Festival wraps up its annual fall concert, Housing Complex C throws a party, and Yashahime battles a snow demon.

📺 Degrassi: The Next Generation (HBO Max, now): The latest Degrassi revival is in the works for a 2023 premiere. While the first three Degrassi shows aren't available to stream, the fourth and best known one stateside is available with all 14 seasons. I was a casual fan of most of its run. While it's best known for being the place where Drake got his start, the high school drama also featured Stephan James, Nina Dobrev, Shay Mitchell, Jake Epstein, and Stacey Farber in early roles.
Red Election (Ovation, 7 p.m.): SEASON FINALE. Operation Redback ends when a nuclear meltdown allows Russia to carry out a "friendly invasion" of Scotland.

🎥 Cursed Friends (Comedy Central): Four childhood friends, now in their 30s (Nicole Byer, Harvey Guillén, Jessica Lowe, Andrew Lewis Caldwell), awaken on Halloween after a drunken reunion and realize a future-predicting game of MASH they played in 2002 has become their new reality.
🎥 DC League of Super-Pets (HBO): Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman are inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime side by side in Metropolis. However, Krypto must master his own powers for a rescue mission when Superman is kidnapped.
🎥 The Disappearance of Cari Farver (Lifetime): Dave Kroupa finds himself on the receiving end of twisted messages from his girlfriend, Cari Farver, who abruptly disappears. As Cari's mother continues to search for her beloved daughter, police eventually make a shocking discovery.
Finding Happy (Bounce TV): It's the Grand Opening of J-Braids and Jamila needs all hands on-deck. Unfortunately, Dexter's new job training to become a long-haul trucker conflicts. Yaz decides to take a chance on herself and resurrects It's Ya Girl Yaz on social media.
🎥 How to Find Forever (GAC Family): Marley is great at organizing other people's engagements but unlucky with love. However, the man who could jeopardize her latest project may also be Mr. Right.
🎥 Pumpkin Everything (Hallmark Channel): This is either someone having the Midas touch but with pumpkins or Attack of the Killer Pumpkins, and I refuse to hear otherwise.
🎥 Stalked Within (BET): A command center operator becomes increasingly obsessed with a single mother when he begins monitoring her life through his company's residential interior cameras.
🎥 X (Showtime): A group of actors sets out to make an adult film in rural Texas under the noses of their reclusive hosts, but when the elderly couple catches their young guests in the act, the cast finds themselves in a desperate fight for their lives.

The Waiting Room (BET Her, 10 & 10:30 p.m.): SEASON FOUR. In Oh Baby Baby, a high fashion entrepreneur trying to conceive a child is blindsided when she develops breast cancer from IVF estrogen treatment. Later, in The Pink Fight, when life throws a hard punch, an aspiring boxer is diagnosed with breast cancer and fights for her championship gloves in and out of the ring.

Housing Complex C (Adult Swim, midnight): Kimi wants to get along with the other new residents, and hopes a shaved ice party will help break the ice, but there's something odd in the syrup.
Lupin the 3rd Part 6 (Adult Swim, 1 a.m.): "With just one sentence, Lupin may no longer be himself, or may become the person he was always meant to be."
Naruto: Shippuden (Adult Swim, 2:30 a.m.): Gaara meets with Fugi, the mastermind behind the assassination attempt on his life.
